The targeted audience for this session is administrators, district and school RTI/SST coordinators/directors, curriculum directors, and special education directors.
Implementation of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) improves student behavior, academic achievement, and ultimately the graduation rate. A tiered system of support can provide the infrastructure for continuous improvement and alignment of existing support systems, resources, and requirements to create an effective comprehensive educational service delivery model.
This session will provide an overview of MTSS and the essential components so as to provide districts and schools a comprehensive yet flexible system for providing high quality instruction, enhancement opportunities, and intervention designed to meet the unique needs of students. Participants will learn how to effectively distinguish among the tiers of support and strengthen the impact of evidence-based instruction and intervention through the use of high leverage practices within MTSS. Valuable resources and tools to support effective implementation will be shared.
